Fort Harker Guard House Museum located in the Town of Kanopolis offers a glimpse in the past when buffalo roamed the range and gun powder ruled the restless. Take a walking tour of the remaining fort buildings left behind when the fort closed in the late 1800's.
The Wild West was alive and well in the hey day of the cattle drives. In the late 1800's many cattle drives ended in Ellsworth earning it the nickname the "Wickest Cowtown in the West" In the summer the Cowtown celebrates it heritage with Rodeos and Cowtown
